What Saith You?
(read parable)
(Proverbs 30:14, James 5:13, Ecclesiastes 3:18, Psalm 42:3, Proverbs 31:8, Proverbs 28:21, Ecclesiastes 5:8, Romans 8:31, Proverbs 24:32, Romans 6:19, Ecclesiastes 5:4, Ecclesiastes 5:6, James 5:13, Romans 8:3, Zechariah 7:6, Proverbs 28:21, Ecclesiastes 6:12, Hebrews 10:26, Ecclesiastes 1:9, Zechariah 7:9, Isaiah 1:10, Isaiah 3:15, Job 33:32)
There is a generation whose teeth are like swords, And whose fangs are like knives, To devour the poor from off the earth, And the needy from among men.
Is anyone among you suffering?
(I said in my heart, My tears have been my food day and night, While they continually say to me, "Where is your God"?)
Open your mouth for the speechless, In the cause of all who are appointed to die. To show partiality is not good, If you see the oppression of the poor, and the violent perversion of justice and righteousness in a province, do not marvel at the matter; for high official watches over high official, and higher officials are over them.”
What then shall we say to these things?
When I saw it, I considered it well; I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. When you make a vow to God, do not delay to pay it; For He has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you have vowed— Do not let your mouth cause your flesh to sin, nor say before the messenger of God that it was an error.
When you eat and when you drink, do you not eat and drink for yourselves? Because for a piece of bread a man will transgress. For who knows what is good for man in life. For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun.
“Thus says the Lord of hosts: 'Execute true justice, Show mercy and compassion Everyone to his brother. Hear the word of the Lord,... What do you mean by crushing My people And grinding the faces of the poor?
If you have anything to say, answer me; Speak, for I desire to justify you.
Selah!
