And it came to pass (for he said, “The God of my father was my help, And blessed be God Most High, the Possessor of heaven and earth, For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. Wisdom strengthens the wise.
“Many rulers have destroyed My vineyard, They have trodden My portion underfoot; But the servants of David had struck down three hundred and sixty men who died.
Hear the word of the Lord, You rulers of Sodom; Give ear to the law of our God, You people of Gomorrah: For the day of the Lord of hosts Shall come upon everything proud and lofty, Upon everything lifted up—And it shall be brought low—For He brings down those who dwell on high, The lofty city; He lays it low, He lays it low to the ground, He brings it down to the dust in order that you may know that I am the Lord in the midst of the land.
Now hear this, and from him came a ruler, enticing unstable souls.“Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, Now the young woman was very beautiful to behold, a virgin; no man had known her. With the choicest wheat; Your head crowns you like Mount Carmel, And the hair of your head is like purple; A king is held captive by your tresses.
In you are men who slander to cause bloodshed; in you are those who eat on the mountains; in your midst they commit lewdness. They are all stubborn rebels, walking as slanderers. They are bronze and iron, they are all corrupters; unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good. Depart! Depart! Go out from there, Go out from the midst of her, be clean, you who bear the vessels of the Lord.
Now therefore, listen to me, my children; Pay attention to the words of my mouth: They sacrificed to demons, for the demons, Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways, Do not stray into her paths; For she has cast down many wounded, And all who were slain by her were strong men. Her house is the way to hell, descending to the chambers of death dreadfully tormented. And smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. (cont. next page)
He called His disciples to Himself; Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil.
Do you want to be unafraid of the authority?
Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same.
Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? What new doctrine is this?
But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word.
Then Mary said, Listen, please, and let me speak; You said, ‘I will question you, and you shall answer Me’ and as she wept she spoke with him about all that was in her heart. There was nothing so difficult for the King that he could not explain it to her.
“Where is the way to the dwelling of light?
And Jesus said to them, God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night and he made the stars also.
Jesus said, If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light.” Then, once purified,
according to the order of Melchizedek, they shall come into the treasury of the Lord and would have had no more consciousness of sins.
Behold, the day of the Lord is coming, now I tell you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe that I am He.
I have heard a message from the Lord, And an ambassador has been sent to the nations: For this Melchizedek, King of Salem, priest of the Most High God, first being translated “king of righteousness,” and then also king of Salem, meaning “king of peace,” without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually.
For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens; He may dwell with you in your midst, in the place which he chooses within one of your gates, where it seems best to him; you shall not oppress him.
For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.
The priest shall make atonement for him, for his sin that he has committed in any of these matters; and it shall be forgiven him. But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. Therefore, He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake.
Now consider how great this man was, he was the priest of God Most High. Now beyond all contradiction the lesser is blessed by the better. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
For it is evident that our Lord arose from Judah, of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood. And it is yet far more evident if, in the likeness of Melchizedek, there arises another priest.
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
(And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, called by God as High Priest “according to the order of Melchizedek,” of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing).
That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Jesus said to her, “Mary,"Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless;
“The Lord thundered from heaven, and the Most High uttered His voice. For the Lord Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully.
What is the chaff to the wheat?” says the Lord. “Is not My word like a fire?” says he Lord, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?
Amen
Greet Mary, who labored much for us.
(Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
