“From where then does Wisdom come?
“Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak; And hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. The Lord by Wisdom founded the earth by understanding He established the heavens.
The topaz of Ethiopia cannot equal it, nor can it be valued in pure gold. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who retain her. Wisdom is better than weapons of war; the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
“But where can wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding?
“I, Wisdom, dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge and discretion.
And where is the place of understanding?
It is hidden from the eyes of all living, and concealed from the birds of the air. In wisdom and understanding, hear, my children, the instruction of a father, and give attention to know understanding; for I give you good doctrine: Do not forsake my law.
Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty; Now it happened, without counsel, thoughts came to your mind while on your bed, for they did not wait for His counsel. For she said, Against You, You only, have I sinned, and done this evil in Your sight--
The enemy said, behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me. She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne, tender and the only one in the sight of my mother and the grace of God was upon Him.
For she said, so it happened, as I lifted my voice and cried out, that he left his garment with me and fled outside.” And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; knowing that such a person is warped and sinning, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God,
So the child grew and was weaned.
And he grew and dwelt in the wilderness, then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, and they had possessions there and grew and multiplied exceedingly.
Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and keep it. Like an apple tree among the trees of the woods, so is my beloved among the sons.
“Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse: For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through Wisdom did not know God.
This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic. They are presumptuous, self-willed they are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries “They have corrupted themselves; they are not His children, Because of their blemish: A perverse and crooked generation. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. Then the woman in her wisdom went to all the people. That they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days. You grew fat, you grew thick, and you are obese!
Then he forsook God who made him, and scornfully esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
Each one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, the second face the face of a man, the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.
When the Most High divided their inheritance to the nations, When He separated the sons of Adam, He set the boundaries of the peoples According to the number of the children of Israel. For the Lord’s portion is His people;
Who gave Him charge over the earth? Or who appointed Him over the whole world?
For he says: “By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom, for I am prudent; also I have removed the boundaries of the people, and have robbed their treasuries; So I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man. My hand has found like a nest the riches of the people, And as one gathers eggs that are left, I have gathered all the earth;"
(And there was no one who moved his wing, nor opened his mouth with even a peep).
And the Lord God said, “Who is this who darkens counsel By words without knowledge?"
Therefore the wisdom of God also said, "I will break the pride of your power; I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze."
(If He should set His heart on it, If He should gather to Himself His Spirit and His breath, All flesh would perish together, And man would return to dust).
The enemy said,“If you will give it, please hear me. I will give you money for the field; take it from me and I will bury my dead there.”So he said, “What shall I give you?”
And the Lord God said, “You shall not give me anything. Can you send out lightning bolts, that they may go, and say to you, ‘Here we are!’? Who has put Wisdom in the mind? Or who has given understanding to the heart? Who can number the clouds by Wisdom? Or who can pour out the bottles of heaven, When the dust hardens in clumps, And the clods cling together?"
(He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him.“I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers; You have given me Wisdom and might, And have now made known to me what we asked of You, For You have made known to us the king’s demand.” He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? “Surely I have taught you statutes and judgments, just as the Lord my God commanded me that you should act according to them in the land which you go to possess. Therefore be careful to observe them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes, and say, ‘Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’)
The enemy said, ‘I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; My desire shall be satisfied on them. I will draw my sword, My hand shall destroy them.’ “Are you the first man who was born? For what you had before I came was little, and it has increased to a great amount; the Lord has blessed you since my coming. And now, when shall I also provide for my own house?”
(Wisdom is found on the lips of him who has understanding, but a rod is for the back of him who is devoid of understanding).
The Lord’s voice cries to the city—Wisdom shall see Your name: “Hear the rod!”
(For Wisdom is a defense as money is a defense, but the excellence of knowledge is that Wisdom gives life to those who have it.)
Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Lord has performed all His work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, that He will say, “I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his haughty looks.”
For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.” Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through Wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.
For God has committed them all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all. Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! “For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has become His counselor?”
For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, for the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
Consider the work of God; for who can make straight what He has made crooked?
Words of the wise, spoken quietly, should be heard rather than the shout of a ruler of fools. Wisdom is good with an inheritance, And profitable to those who see the sun. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light and said to me: “Let your heart retain my words; Keep my commands, and live.
Get Wisdom! Get understanding!
Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; Love her, and she will keep you.
Beware lest there be a wicked thought in your heart, saying, ‘The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand,’ For thus says the Lord of hosts: “He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you;
Then He saw wisdom and declared it;for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye.
Wisdom is justified by her children full of the Holy Spirit and Wisdom.
...When I was my father’s son,
Selah!
“And now I am their taunting song; Yes, I am their byword and I have become one in whose face men spit".
Psalm 68
Sing to God, sing praises to His name;Extol Him who rides on the clouds, By His name YAH,
And rejoice before Him. A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, Is God in His holy habitation. O God, You are more awesome than Your holy places. The God of Israel is He who gives strength and power to His people.
Blessed be God!
