Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel—thus you shall say to your masters: ‘I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are on the ground, by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and have given it to whom it seemed proper to Me. And now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant; and the beasts of the field I have also given him to serve him. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, Behold, this we have searched out; It is true Hear it, and know for yourself.”
There were giants on the earth in those days, Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so.

Then the third angel sounded: And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and the Lord sent thunder and hail, and fire darted to the ground, so very heavy that there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation. And it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter. I was looking, and behold, a tree in the midst of the earth, and its height was great. The tree grew and became strong; Its height reached to the heavens, and it could be seen to the ends of all the earth. Its leaves were lovely, its fruit abundant, and in it was food for all. The beasts of the field found shade under it, the birds of the heavens dwelt in its branches, and all flesh was fed from it.
Ask now, and see, whether a man is ever in labor with child? So why do I see every man with his hands on his loins Like a woman in labor, and all faces turned pale?
He casts out His hail like morsels; And there will be desolation. Who can stand before His cold? For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; So there remained nothing green on the trees or on the plants of the field throughout all the land of Egypt.
I, the Preacher, was king over Israel in Jerusalem. And I set my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all that is done under heaven; this burdensome task God has given to the sons of man; by which they may be exercised. I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and indeed, all is vanity and grasping for the wind. And no one considers in his heart, Nor is there knowledge nor understanding to say, “I have burned half of it in the fire,

Shall I fall down before a block of wood?”
“And inasmuch as the king saw a watcher, a holy one, coming down from heaven and saying, ‘Chop down the tree and destroy it, but leave its stump and roots in the earth, bound with a band of iron and bronze in the tender grass of the field; let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let him graze with the beasts of the field, let his heart be changed from that of a man, let him be given the heart of a beast, and let seven times pass over him.
‘This decision is by the decree of the Watchers, and the sentence by the word of the Holy Ones, in order that the living may know That the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, gives it to whomever He will, And sets over it the lowest of men.’ “And inasmuch as they gave the command to leave the stump and roots of the tree, your kingdom shall be assured to you, after you come to know that Heaven rules.
Why are we counted as beasts, and regarded as stupid in your sight?
And the Lord said, “To what then shall I liken the men of this generation, and what are they like?
He breaks open a shaft away from people; In places forgotten by feet. They hang far away from men; They swing to and fro. Till seven times pass over him’; that you may prolong your days in the land which the Lord swore to give your fathers, to them and their descendants, ‘a land flowing with milk and honey. His body was wet with the dew of heaven till his hair had grown like eagles’ feathers and his nails like birds’ claws but their minds were blinded; he was driven from men and ate grass like oxen; and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys.
To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the crags of the rugged rocks, from the terror of the Lord And the glory of His majesty, when He arises to shake the earth mightily. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented— of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, in dens and caves of the earth, till he knew that the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men, and appoints over it whomever He chooses.
(I was so foolish and ignorant;I was like a beast before You. And I was vexed in my mind.)
He stretched out the form of a hand, and took me by a lock of my hair; and for the land which you go to possess is not like the land of Egypt from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and watered it by foot, as a vegetable garden; All the poor of the land are forced to hide. Indeed, like wild donkeys in the desert, they go out to their work, searching for food. The wilderness yields food for them and for their children. They gather their fodder in the field and glean in the vineyard of the wicked. Therefore its name is called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth and did not spare the ancient world.

And I have put wisdom in the hearts of all the gifted artisans, that they may make all that I have commanded you: So a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and who meditate on His name. And there you will serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see nor hear nor eat nor smell. Like adamant stone, harder than flint, I have made your forehead. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their slaves; I have broken the bands of your yoke and made you walk upright. But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony.
”Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown."
Are You not from everlasting Lord my God, my Holy One? We shall not die. O Lord, You have appointed them for judgment O Rock, You have marked them for correction. You have planted them, yes, they have taken root;
From the chamber of the south comes the whirlwind, and cold from the scattering winds of the north. By the breath of God ice is given, and the broad waters are frozen. Also with moisture He saturates the thick clouds; He scatters His bright clouds. And they swirl about, being turned by His guidance,That they may do whatever He commands them On the face of the whole earth. He causes it to come, Whether for correction, Or for His land...Or for mercy.
And suddenly a great wind came from across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on the young people, and they are dead; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”
The ox knows its owner and the donkey its master’s crib; But Israel does not know, My people do not consider.” And they have caused themselves to stumble in their ways, From the ancient paths.
You who tear yourself in anger, Shall the earth be forsaken for you? Or shall the rock be removed from its place?
And at the end of the time I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever: For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, And His kingdom is from generation to generation.
Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.
Since all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known to me the interpretation; but you are able, for the Spirit of the Holy God is in you. “Therefore, O king, let my advice be acceptable to you; break off your sins by being righteous, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor. Perhaps there may be a lengthening of your prosperity.”
For what happens to the sons of men also happens to animals; one thing befalls them: as one dies, so dies the other. Surely, they all have one breath; man has no advantage over animals, for all is vanity. All go to one place: all are from the dust, and all return to dust. Who knows the spirit of the sons of men, which goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, which goes down to the earth? So I perceived that nothing is better than that a man should rejoice in his own works, for that is his heritage. For who can bring him to see what will happen after him?
...
I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your works; I muse on the work of Your hands. I will remember the works of the Lord; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old. I will also meditate on all Your work, and talk of Your deeds. The years of ancient times. I call to remembrance my song in the night; I meditate within my heart, and my spirit makes diligent search.
Yes, if you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding, If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God. For we are not writing any other things to you than what you read or understand. Now I trust you will understand, even to the end (as also you have understood us in part), that we are your boast as you also are ours, in the day of the Lord Jesus.
Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ.
Selah!
But he was rebuked for his iniquity: a dumb donkey speaking with a man’s voice restrained the madness of the prophet saying:
“Tell the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your King is coming to you, Lowly, and sitting on a donkey,A colt, the foal of a donkey.’”
...Moreover I will be careful to ensure that you always have a reminder of these things after my decease.
