For this One has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as He who built the house has more honor than the house. For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,
Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you with an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted. The Lord knows the thoughts of man, that they are futile.
(O Lord, You have searched me and known me. For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?)
Return to Me, and I will return to you, Says the Lord of hosts. "But you said, 'In what way shall we return?’ I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him. "Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces. Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, for without Me you can do nothing.
(You have said, 'It is useless to serve God; what profit is it that we have kept His ordinance, And that we have walked as mourners Before the Lord of hosts)?
Understand, you senseless among the people; and you fools, when will you be wise? Says the Lord: How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing. He who instructs the nations, who makes His angels spirits, shall He not correct, He who teaches man knowledge?
As it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment. For this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: "Salt is good; but if the salt has lost its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is neither fit for the land nor for the dunghill, but men throw it out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!" Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
Blessed is the man whom You instruct, O Lord, And teach out of Your law. You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand.
Selah!
For it is written: "As I live, says the Lord, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God.
The children of your elect sister greet you. Amen.
