“Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.
You shall have no other gods before Me You shall not make anything to be with Me—gods of silver or gods of gold you shall not make for yourselves, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God ‘You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth My son, keep your father’s command, And do not forsake the law of your mother. Bind them continually upon your heart;
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you. You shall make no covenant with them nor with their gods, Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways, Do not stray into her paths;
Was your prostitution not enough?
You shall not commit adultery for by means of a harlot. You shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do according to their works;for jealousy is a husband’s fury;” The light of a lamp shall not shine in you anymore, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you anymore. ‘Therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.
And they said, “I have peace offerings with me; today I have paid my vows. Fools and blind! Serpents, brood of vipers! He will accept no recompense, nor will he be appeased though you give many gifts.
For which is greater, the gift or the altar that sanctifies the gift? How can you escape the condemnation of hell?
“You shall not circulate a false report and you shall take no bribe, he will bring their iniquity to remembrance that they may be taken, if he comes in by himself, he shall go out by himself.
Look at me and be astonished; Put your hand over your mouth. Oh, that you would be silent, and it would be your wisdom! Listen to me; Hold your peace, and I will teach you wisdom.” The young children ask for bread, but no one breaks it for them.
Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors. With an understanding heart. If he comes in married, then his wife shall go out with him.
“If a man entices a virgin who is not betrothed, and lies with her, he shall surely pay the bride-price for her to be his wife.
Sigh therefore, son of man, with a breaking heart, and sigh with bitterness before their eyes. And it shall be when they say to you, ‘Why are you sighing?’
That you shall answer, ‘Because of the news;
When it comes, every heart will melt, all hands will be feeble, every spirit will faint, and all knees will be weak as water. Behold, it is coming and shall be brought to pass,’ says the Lord God.”
Wisdom has built her house, She has hewn out her seven pillars; her gates have sunk into the ground.
“You therefore, son of man, prophesy, it is the sword that slays, the sword that slays the great men, that enters their private chambers.
I will send My fear before you, I will cause confusion among all the people to whom you come, and will make all your enemies turn their backs to you. I will deliver you in that day,” says the Lord, “and you shall not be given into the hand of the men of whom you are afraid.
Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, “They have struck me, but I was not hurt; They have beaten me, but I did not feel it. When shall I awake, that I may seek another drink?”
He who hath ears, let him hear!
When you have transgressed the covenant of the Lord your God, which He commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed down to them, then the anger of the Lord will burn against you, and you shall perish quickly from the good land which He has given you.” ...“Those who regard worthless idols Forsake their own Mercy.
Selah!
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
